A little about Macramé Mouse...

2022 saw the creation of Macramé Mouse, however, Bailey has been working with knots for over 10 years!

Bailey, owner and creative hands behind Macramé Mouse, is from Oklahoma but currently resides in St. Louis, MO with her husband Ben and cat Pietra . Growing up in a household of creatives and entrepreneurs fostered her love for creating art and celebrating small businesses.

After bringing home the cutest kitten in 2021, it was quickly realized that felines and houseplants do not always live in harmony. In an attempt to pet-proof houseplants, Bailey started making a variety of macramé plant hangers. Others showed interest in the plant hangers and accessories that were being made. A year later Macramé Mouse became an official business! Basically, you have Pietra the cat to thank for all your favorite macramé mouse pieces.

The cotton cord used to make the various plant hangers, wall décor, and other pieces is made out of recycled cotton. You will also notice the lack of plastics in packaging, the majority of shipping supplies are reused, and scraps are saved for other projects. All of this is done to create art that is friendly to the planet we reside on.

Along with the works offered by Macramé Mouse, classes are also offered! These classes are a great way to try your hand at macramé.

Make sure to say hi at the next pop-up event or festival Macramé Mouse will be at!
